Dandelion Infused Cold Process Soap - Unscented
The Wise Allies Soap Collection is a collection of naturally made soaps that are colored using only natural botanicals and clays. No scent is added to these soaps making them great for those who have sensitive skin.
This particular soap is made from the whole dandelion plant. Avocado oil was infused with fresh dandelion blooms for a good long while so they use the #slowherbalism method of extracting the benefits of dandelion into the oil. I ground the leaves, stems, and roots into powders and used them in the separate parts. There may be a mild exfoliation benefit due to the roots.
INGREDIENTS: Olea Europae (Olive) Fruit Oil, Adeps Suillus (Home Grown Russian Boar Lard), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Agua (Water), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), Taraxacum officinal (Dandelion), Curcuma longa (Turmeric), Sodium Chloride (Himalayan Salt), Piper nigrum (Black Peppercorns), Magnesium sulfate (Epsom Salts)
Approximate bar size 5oz (142g)
Handmade soap cold process & hot process soap will continue to lose water weight as it sits, as long as it is not used. This creates a nice hard bar that will last longer in the shower, as long as it is kept dry in between uses. A draining soap dish is recommended.
All my soaps are cured for at least 4 weeks so it is safe to use, but depending on the humidity you may notice a benefit (a harder, longer lasting bar) to letting the soap cure for an extra 1-2 weeks before using.
When transitioning to using handmade soap, you may notice a difference in your skin. Many have said the first few times of using handmade soap they experience a squeaky clean feeling. If you are prone to dry skin you may prefer to moisturize with a lotion or hand cream, after washing your hands at least during transition.
The actual soap you receive will be a lighter yellow than the orange showed here.
